Maaaaasssshhhhed Potatoes!

"I'm huuuuunnngry!" whined Oscar. "Are we EVER going to eat?" Just when Oscar was thinking that he was never going to get to eat Mrs. J said, "Line up! It's time for lunch." Some of the kids ran to their cubbies to get their lunch boxes and other grabbed their lunch tags. Oscar ran to the line. He was jumping up and down and his tail was wagging like crazy! He had never eaten in a school cafeteria before.

Once they got to the cafeteria Oscar got in line with the other kids buying their lunch. Luckily he had brought some money along to buy his lunch. When it was Oscar's turn to pick out his lunch he got a little excited. "LOOK AT ALL THIS FOOD! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! I WANT SOME CHICKEN...AND CARROTS....OH! BOY MASHED POTATOES...CAN I HAVE SOME RICE....PEAS.....CORN....A ROLL...AND....AND...!" On and on Oscar went asking for every kind of food that he could think of.  He finally payed for his food and went to find a seat. Then he took a bite out of his mashed potatoes. MMMMM "YUMMY!" Then he started to sing! "I LOVE MASHED POTATOES, I LOVE IT WITH BEANS, MASH MASH MASH POTATOES...............I LOVE IT AT ALL!" Oscar sang as he danced around the cafeteria. "IT'S GOOD AND HEALTHY, AND HAS GOOD VIT-A-MINS, MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSHED POTATOES! M-A-S-H-E-D- P-O-T-A-T-O-E-S SPELLS MASHED POTATOES!" The cafeteria ladies loved his song so much that they started singing it too. Then the kids in the line started singing it. Soon the whole entire cafeteria was singing his song! Oscar was really really excited that everyone loved his song. "I MADE A HIT! I MADE A HIT!" Oscar said excitedly as he quicky shoved bite after bite of food in his mouth. 
He had almost finished his gigantic pile of food and was just beginning to bite into his roll when he saw that his class was lining up to go. He grabbed his roll in his mouth and took off down the hall on all fours after his class! "MMMPH! WAIT! CHOMP! CHOMP! WAIT ON ME!" He had almost caught with his class when heard a teacher shout "NO RUNNING IN THE HALLS!"
