Pet Sitting is Exhausting!

Oscar opened his eyes and looked up at the clock above the doors. 1:30...Mrs. Jewel would be home at 2:00! Before the librarian had a chance to get up, Oscar had grabbed Olive put her in the stroller and was running out the door. "TAXI!" he yelled as he waved a cab driver down. The big yellow car stopped and Oscar opened the door and leaped in. "Take me to WOOF! I mean...and hurry please!" Oscar finally got the address out. He couldn't be late. He made it with just a few minutes to spare.

Mrs. Jewel waved goodbye to Mr. Fido who had insisted on leaving right away. He had met her at the door and had left immediately. He seemed to be in a hurry. "See you tomorrow." she called out the door. Then turned and walked toward her kitchen.
"AAAAHHHH! What happened to my kitchen!?" It was a complete mess! The floors had puddles of water all over it! The counters were covered in a strange white fur and to top it off almost all the dish soap had been used. Mrs. Jewel looked around at the mess and then headed for the phone.
That afternoon Oscar was laying in his bed when Mom came in the room to check the answering machine. "MR. FIDO THIS IS MRS. JEWEL. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE MESS YOU LEFT! YOUR SERVICES ARE NO LONGER NEEDED." Click. Then there was just dial tone. "How strange. It must have been the wrong number." Mom said and then she deleted the message. Oscar just closed his eyes and moaned. Pet sitting was exhausting!
