Craft Store Chaos

      Now that Oscar was finished buying his costume he had to buy some decorations for his Halloween party. "HMMMMM....I am going to make all of my party decorations so I need to go to a craft store. There are lots of craft stores here in town but I think Mr. Naft's Crafts is the closest one around here." Oscar put his costume inside the basket on Madeline's bike and then took off. He rode over a little hill and around the corner and into the parking lot of
"THE BEST SHOPPING CENTER IN TOWN". "THERE IT IS...THERE IT IS...MR. NAFT'S CRAFT STORE!!!" Oscar got so excited he forgot he wasn't supposed to ride his bike inside store and zoomed right through the doors AGAIN! "Excuse me kid, but bikes are not allowed in my store!!" Mr. Naft chased after Oscar. "Sorry, I forgot!" said Oscar as he walked his bike outside and parked it by a tree.
       "OK kid, how can I help you?" Mr. Naft asked when Oscar hurried back into the store. "WOW...look at all this stuff!!!" Oscar didn't even hear Mr. Naft he was too busy looking at all the colorful craft supplies. All of a sudden Oscar took off running with his shopping cart down aisle number 1. It was lined with rolls and rolls of fabric. There was fabric with checks, there was fabric with stars, there was even fabric with polka dots all over it! What Oscar was looking for was just plain white fabric. "OH BOY! OH BOY! This is perfect...I'll take all of it!" Oscar grabbed the roll of fabric and tossed it into his cart. People were already staring... "What a strange kid...where are his parents?" "Hey watch out...NO RUNNING IN STORES!" "Hey Mom is that a dog?" ...and they were starting to talk! Oscar didn't seem to notice all the attention he was getting; he was much too busy singing. "DOO DEE DOO DEE! DOOOOO DEEEEE DOOOOO! DOO DEE DEE DEE DOOOOOWHOOO WHHOOOOOO! GETTIN' CLOTH FROM THE STORE WHOOOOWHOOOO!" He sang as he turned around the corner and onto aisle number two.
      This aisle had glue, scissors, and other kinds of tools you might need when making crafts. Right at the end of the aisle was a huge display. It was boxes and boxes of glue stacked up to the ceiling in the shape of a pyramid! "GLUE...I NEED GLUE!" Oscar ran towards the display grabbed a box from the bottom and DOWN CAME THE PYRAMID!! "OOOOOWEEEE! THAT HURT! MY TAIL! MY TAIL! WWWWHAAAAAAA!WHAAAAAAAAA! WHOOOOOWHOOOOO!" He was really upset and causing such a scene that the manager came running to see what was happening. "KID....YOU DESTROYED MY DISPLAY!" The manager was mad! "UH-OH! Time to go the next aisle." "Hey wait Kid....come help clean up this mess!" Oscar didn't hear the manager he was too busy running down the next aisle.
       He had spotted a giant basket full of plastic pumpkins. He dove right inside and started tossing pumpkins into his cart. "STOP KID! YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO GET INSIDE THE BASKET!!" Oscar didn't hear him though he was already headed toward a display of paint. "OH NO! NOT THERE! STOP THAT KID!" The manager yelled. Oscar was climbing the shelves when....CRASH! BOOM! SPLAT! SPLASH! "OOOPS!" Paint went everywhere...all over the floor and all over Oscar. He quickly grabbed the colors that he needed and ran toward the cash register with Mr. Naft chasing after him. "KID! You made a huge mess...are you gonna help clean this up??!!" Oscar was too excited to notice that Mr. Naft was really really upset. He just payed for his craft supplies and ran out the door to his bike. "HURRY! HURRY! Got to get home to make all the decorations before Mom and Madeline find out I'm gone!" and with that Oscar took off back down the road toward home.
